Everyone says not to overgeneralize people, but the guys I've met in college have only wanted hookups.

When people think of college, parties, schoolwork and romance come to mind.

When I graduated from high school, I felt like I was finally in a place where I was ready to dedicate the time and commitment necessary to being in a relationship. After a few months into my first year of college, I started dating someone who I thought could really make me happy. I finally felt like I had met someone who actually understood me and cared for me. It turns out he was just like every guy I've met thus far in college: selfish and self-absorbed.

It happens to the best of us, but the chances of seeing them go through the roof, including when they get together with a new person and you’re in your pajamas in the dining hall. 9) But that doesn’t mean one isn’t going to sneak up on you when you least expect it. 10) Not living in your parents’ house is going to change your sex life. In college everyone is varied, so take everything into account when you’re dating a new person. Going to dinner and movies will feel like a splurge and that’s okay. It’s just another setting and another opportunity and life is full of those.

They don’t have the same values, history, or priorities as you, so you need to listen even more to what they’re all about. High school girls are always like, “OMG I need to meet a guy who’s in college” but I’m not sure why, because a lot of guys in college are really immature. No grown ups means unlimited video games and unlimited f-ckboy behavior.

It will make your time together feel more valuable.

It will get better as long as both people in the relationship try to make time for each other.

Instead, people's days begin when their first classes are scheduled, and they end after their last classes, meetings or practice.

There's so much you can get involved in while you're in college.

The closest thing you all have to a supervising adult is your RA, who’s probably only 21-years-old.

This clearly means constant hook ups, partying nonstop, and no drama, right? Everyone experiences college differently and there is no right answer about how to date and what rules to follow there…
